Based on what I've read on this issue, and from both sides... it seems that the decision was not entirely one-sided, but that Stinch himself felt not up to par and, therefore, was OK with the Saints' decision. Again, this is the understanding that I've come to, but it could naturally be false in some or all aspects of it. If he is not healthy enough to play, why would bringing him up as a backup - while taking up a much needed roster spot - be a good idea? |
