I don't understand how we can go from one extreme to the other!
Last week all we did was blitz and hit people, even though Gore had some running room a couple of times. I understand G.W. not wanting to show his hand early and calling a vanilla game, but it was like we gave up as soon as they were blocked tonight. |

seems like many did'nt tackle tonight, was it the vanilla game plan that was nothing compared to last weeks hustle with heart and determination, yes something not right nonight. were they tired or looking ahead to oxford. any way they were playiny a better team tonigh and we still had chances to wack the texers, our qbs need to start showing some confidence, its 1 great play with 2 bad throws . we need more practice or more rest. we ran running backs in the game that won't see the water bucket this year, i don't get it.where those 2 backup qbs should be whipping it every down. we'll furgure it out.

That doesn't explain the missed tackles and the piss poor coverage, even though we played most of the game in deep zone coverage.

This was a problem in last year's preseason... and sure enough the missed tackles are what ended our season in Seattle. I love GW as much as the next Saints fan... but I'm beginning to think that emphasizing creating turnovers is turning our defense into ineffective wusses.

I can explain the missed tackles. It is preseason. It only counts for the guys on the bubble.

There are no excuses on all the missed tackles. Everything else I can brush under the carpet because we do play them during the regular season. |
