Saints' Collins hoping New Orleans is where he sticks

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; he looked good against the Texans but Hall will be tough competition. I could even see us go with no FB at all....

I dunno, I think a good FB keeps running backs healthy and makes them more effective, particularly guys like Ingram. Another thing is that, because the FB is so rarely used in the league nowadays, Payton could cue up some pretty crazy old school stuff that DCs haven't planned or trained for in 10 years. We used Heath Evans pretty well in that regard for the last two seasons, regardless of what you think about him, I believe FB has an important role on our team.

As for Collins, he has his work cut out for him to beat Hall, but its hard not to root for the guy.
