I think he's learning on the run. In the Texans game, I saw him chase the QB all the way across the field to the opposite sideline and force him out of bounds. But he still has trouble disengaging from blocks and setting the edge. I think he gets a bye this year because he's a draft pick but to me he hasn't picked up the scheme yet and we run a very complicated defensive scheme.

I saw this last night as well. If not mistaken he took on the double teams which allowed Miller to get the penetration and sacks. Although by this time of the night the budweiser and crown might have been combining plays together.

The Saints had a serious need at the position and he was the best available. He's a very good player. But, he's never going to be what gets the most attention at the position which is a high sack guy. To me his value is linked with Wilson. If Wilson develops into his potential, both will benefit greatly, and that side of the field is going to be a big strength for the Saints. Jordan eating up blocks, holding the line, and creating a push while Wilson makes plays with having the potential of being a sacks and pressure demon.

Cameron Jordan is a Charles Grant type with more athleticism. I don't expect him to be a double digit sack guy... he's going to be a 3 down well rounded player.

Why is it that all people named Cameron or Cam play in the NFL?
Wait...never mind. Cameron Diaz doesn't play in the NFL although she might be a good choice for someone who was looking for a pretty good tight end. |
