Should Saints take a closer look at Patrick Cobbs?
The guy runs like a beast, even though it was against Raiders 2nd stringers he's basically in the same category as a 2nd or 3rd stringer as of now so the question is should we not only sign him but upgrade his position?
One of the commentators said during the game, Sean Payton said "Your not going anywhere, even if i have to stick you at safety" Im hoping that is true.. However i think Sean should perhaps take a look at him against 1st stringers in our next practice game with him getting a decent amount of carries to see if what im seeing is the real deal. |

I thought he played well, doesnt look like we will have enough room for him. I would keep Bell over Cobbs. Bell looked like the more natural and explosive runner.

I would guess the Saints decided they didn't want to get caught in the same situation as last year and pull guys off the sofa to run the football. We are looking pretty strong at RB, and it is nice.

YES! and keep looking. Cobbs was very impressive. Where do they keep finding these guys? Tough choices at running back is just an awful position to be in, just awful!

Not sure we'll sacrifice an extra spot on the lines to free up a spot for Cobbs. Luckily for him though, he's good on special teams... which is his calling card. There's not touches for him on offense with the guys we currently have.

I really think they need to. I agree with letting him and Bell play the entire Titans game, along with the "other" wannabe's. I think letting Cobb go might be a mistake. Don't ask me to break down my reasoning....I just gotta feeling.
On the realistic side of my brain, I don't see how they can keep that many RB's. If they want to do Cobbs justice; cut him now so he can make another squad. |
