When Finley was healthy and playing well, he played a lot of slot too I believe. I think he'll see a lot of P-Rob and Jenkins with Vilma dropping back to help also. With them being such a spread offense, I wouldn't be surprised to see a lot of 4-2-5 this game... allowing Harper to attack the line of scrimmage.
I'd really hate to see Williams put Harper on Finley... that would be ugly imo. |

But I do agree that we really don't have 1 player that can shut down Finley. Its gonna have to be a group effort. I have a bad feeling we're gonna see a lot of Herring on Finley. |

we have to get pressure on Rodgers.. This will have to include a good blitz package.. I feel we can get to Rodgers.. If we do our defensive backs could have a big game... Main thing we need to do is control the football.. We need to take advantage of our running backs... I know this sounds strange because we are so used to quick scores, a fast break offense you might say.. But not in this game slow the pace down.. Strike deep just to keep the defense o their toes.. but to win this game we gonna need to hold the ball for 40+ mins..

I don't know. I'm nervous as hell about this game. The Packers are a good team. I think our offenses are close as far as ability to score...but if our defense fails to get pressure or stop the run we are in trouble. The defense needs to show up and the offensive line has to make a push.

I would like to see Turk McBride step up along with Shaun Rogers and Junior Galette. I am pretty sure Jeff Charlston will have a decent game. Maybe Aubrayo Franklin and Mitch King will have great days as well. I am very curious to see how Wiliams is ging trotate them out. Our defense is pretty deep this year. It seems like a perfct mix to keep all of the players well rested.

I have a bad feeling we're gonna see a lot of Herring on Finley.[/QUOTE] I remember posting that stat earlier this offseason and his numbers were top notch(top 5 I believe). But at same time, Finley is a rare breed and we didn't play many of those. I honestly don't want to find out anyhow. I've also been thinking since Herring was a former safety that he has the physicality and speed to cover Finley... which would be ideal. Too bad, at least from his preseason performance, he sucks. Hopefully he proves us all wrong. |

Colston. No more being timid going up for the ball, be agressive, no more dropping sure TD's and.......the entire D.

If the D-line gets a good solid push they stop the run & disrupt the passing game, which in turn helps the DBs.
If we can hurry Rogers & stymie thier runing game we have a great chance. Our passing offense is as good (a little less w/o Moore) & our running game is/should be much better |
