Back to the original topic...
I watched that game last night - because I couldn't miss out on a Failclowns a$$ whooping - and they sure looked pretty bad. That's some really good video to watch when the Saints prepare to meet them for the first time. The Bears played a lot of cover 2s while rushing only 4 and the Failclowns O-Line had no answer to the Bears' D-Line and the safety help proved too much for Matty Lice to get any receivers open in the backfield. The Failclowns had to consistently go for the check down throws, and their biggest play came from a Turner run up the middle. Julio Jones was invisible and the one time he has open running a 9 route, Matty Lice couldn't get the ball in his hands. Lice also made a ridiculous fumble while trying to escape the pressure, which resulted in the Urlacher TD. The Bears O-Line was also pretty bad, and they allowed pressure from the outside and up the middle on a constant basis, which should maybe make things easier for the Saints' backfield - provided they can create pressure up front. The Bears tackled really well all during the game, while the Failclowns did a even worse job at it than the Saints did Thursday night. Failclowns could've easily had 3 more picks, but their backfield was somehow able drop 'em, which means Cutler hasn't completely erased his tendency to just gun out throws when he is pressured or the coverage is there. But above all Forte has to be stopped in order for there to be any chance of the Saints coming on top in the game. He ran well, but he also made some really good gains as a receiver. |
