I find it curious that the two guys to tie the record did so at Mile High Stadium. It's still an accomplisment to have the accuracy but the distance was definatly helped by the conditions. If they give him the record it should come with an asterisks.

According to the rules, when the ball is between yardlines, the yardline closer to the goal is used. So unless they rewrite the rules it will go down as a 63 yard fieldgoal since the ball was clearly between the yard markers.

They really don't show a good shot of where the ball was actually placed, but around the 2 second mark they have a shot of where the holder will place the ball, and it is beyond 63 yds...again, if I'm seeing this right. You be the judge! |

Hmmm wonder how far Dempsey could have kicked one in Denver.... Seems that is where all the ties have come from... Glad Jano don't kick in Denver every week cause the record would prob be 70 yards...
