Good game.
But I have to kind of agree with the rap on Cutler. Cutler's body language on the field was frankly terrible. I look at all that stuff when I'm actually at the game, in between plays, during commercial timeouts, when they do the silly speedboat races on the jumbotron etc. I watch the players' body language during those breaks, and there were a lot of times where Cutler really looked like he just wanted to be somewhere else. My rap on the current Bears, is that they have a formidable team when their "formula" of defense and great special teams works, but when they run into adversity, or problems with that strategy, they can't seem to tip the balance back in their favor. It's a different style of football from the Saints, where even in losing situations (Saints/Packers opener game, or even the Saints/Seahawks playoff game last year), where the current may be against them and they're behind on the scoreboard, but the Saints are always still scrapping away at the very very end. In contrast to Cutler, who I felt had started packing his bag and planning his checkout from the hotel, sometime in the late third quarter. Good luck to you the rest of the way! |
