October Games

Teams will be wearing pink apparel in October like they have the last couple years to support Breast Cancer awareness. How do you guys feel about this?

I like it the first couple times and towards the end of the month it starts to get annoying. Not supporting the ta ta's....the pink apparel.

I support the ta tas also BUT - why breast cancer? Why not prostate cancer? (brown would be a little crappy)

Or MS

Or concussion awareness

Or - any other of a multitude of diseases, cancers & problems that they could target.

How about 17 different problems areas & a special uniform for each week???

I think one game would be enough with the pink because I hate how it looks.

I agree. Nothing ever mentioned about prostate cancer, which is what most NFL players will die of if they were to live long enough.

I agree with homer. There are too many types of cancer to mention only one.........however, if we are trying to interest the women, breast cancer is something they all have an interest in.

Are you kidding? You've seen those "You Don't Own Me" NFL apparel commercials right? The NFL wants to market to the ladies. I'm not against the idea, but I damn well know the spirit behind it is more money in the NFL coffers.

Don't like it! Don't mind one weekend, but that is enough. It should be treated like a telethon, not a marathon.

Let's face it - there's a lot more promotion of breast cancer awareness than prostate cancer. Everyone knows what a pink ribbon is now without even having any wording next to it. I'm wondering if this was an NFL initiative or if some organization came in and sold them on it.
