Hmm.
Vilma speaks very highly of Shanle. So does Coach W. I'll take their word for it over a bunch of couch potato coonasses. Try not to whine. Clap when they win... and buy the shirts. If you're gonna gripe, freakin move to Atlanta, fair weather fans. You're more like them. You'll fit in nicely. Two Dat. |

I'm not going to speak for everyone else, but my opinion is that he is decent. Not a starter. He will make a good back up once some of the young guys step up.

I had rather see a clearly more athletic Casillas make an occasional mental error while learning, than a vet who has no ability to make any play at all. Dunbar, Vilma, and Casillas should be the starting LB's for the Saints.

Yeah, like they would publicly state that they think he's rubbish if they thought so?! And once again you show just how clueless you are... critically discussing players who play on a team you follow and root for should not be considered as a negative occurrence. If you really think about it, what we are talking about here is a fundamental pillar of a free society: the right to express one's opinion. I do agree with you on that - especially with Shanle - things do sometimes get a bit too personal and as a consequence lose their significance in the discussion, but that is more of a sign of people here being passionate about the Saints rather than being purposefully hurtful. With your black & white attitude and willingness to unquestioningly follow the Party line - you would've probably felt right at home in the former Soviet Union under Stalin. |

or what about Hitler? Can we bring some Hitler into the Shanle discussion somehow? It's not a real internet argument, until someone starts throwing Hitler out there.

Yeah, well, Vilma and Coach W. don't get to watch the game from the best seat in the house.
And the guys who keep up with STATs like Shanle also, because they don't have to deal with him at all. Shanle plays to the level of the Practice Squad. It's very unfortunate that Coach W. (whose coaching is SUSPECT as of lately) and Vilma, who doesn't do much Shanle-watching during a play I guarantee, can't see that. Coach W. can't even see that his Corners are 10 deep on a third and 3 pass formation. Go whine about my whining over on the Falcons board. You'll fit in well over there. Alaska |
