I hate to say this, but Courtney Roby would be a candidate for release. I know he's the gunner of KOs, but with the new rules, and the inordinately large number of touchbacks on KOs, there is far less need for a gunner. And we have Sproles for the return game. I do believe that when Chris Ivory is eligible to come off PUP, the Saints won't hesitate to put him on the 53-man roster. Whether he will be active right away on game days remains to be seen. Just a thought. |

It might be one of the older veteran guys that gets released, I haven't seen much from that Amaya that we got for the reggie trade so he could be a candidate for release.
Sean and mickey have a difficult choice to make, you've got to activate Ivory, who to release, and how do you get Ivory touches in an already crowded backfield |

I've witnessed a couple of three headed monsters...but man with Ivory back we HAVE to get him involved. That guy is a monster in the backfield by himself

I think Ivory will come back with a vengence. He will have to earn his place now. It's a totally different situation this year for us.

Ivory can carry a pile like no ones business. I think he still has more power than Ingram does. How can he get any better than he was last year? Just look at this video. We definitely dont want him to go to a division competitor or anywhere else in the NFC South. Tough decisions down the stretch when Ivory comes back.

As I said earlier it's a good problem to have. When Ivory comes back Payton will give him some touches and then increase his touches as the season goes on. I believe that of the backs he has the least vision. I know. I know he's gotten a lot of yards. Yada yada yada. He gets those yards as a power back and that causes him to get injured. Sometimes you've just got to know when to go down. He doesn't seem to have very good field awareness. I would like to see him get enough reps to be good for trade bait next year.
