Where from here?
Without that early pick, we very likely lose.
Our offense cannot continue to carry the defense. And we're HEALTHY! I feel like someone shot a hole in our bucket of luck, with buckshot, and it is running out quick. I'm very happy that we eeked out this win, but I'm depressed at the same time as we are not gaining any ground with respect to our porous defense. Although Ingram got his touchdown, I don't feel that he will ever make a 'big play'. The unlucky pick for Brees was just that. He was FLAWLESS today. We are going to wear out Sproles before the end of the season. Having to rely too heavily on him in my opinion. Give Carolina credit; a couple more horrible calls going their way and they'll be a contender. Tackling still an issue. Always an issue. Shanle's hands are made of stone, covered with snot-slick algae. Right through his hands. Our DB's are still playing too far off the line and not interrupting routes and we get shredded over the middle. Carolina will bring their A game to New Orleans, and we'll need to be more than lucky. Fire away. I'm thick-skinned. Alaska |

I think you're overreacting.
This team has been built over 5 seasons. They're deep and they're well coached. They make plays when they need to. Up by two TD's? We win. Down by two TD's we find a way to come back. We arguably have the second best team in the NFL next to Green Bay and even they have holes. I'm confident in this team because we're in every single game. No matter what... |

After that, their first TD really was less skill and more luck. Just how I see it. Cam had been hit on the throw and it was up for grabs, it just happen to turn out that SS came down with it and Greer fell.
At the end of the game, when our D needed to, they played well. Matter of fact, on the final drive they only had one completion (I am pretty sure) and another, in my opinion, BS call from refs. I think we only gave up 2 or 3 td's today, and everyone has given up points to these guys. They aren't horrible offensively. The other was a bad call. Total BS |
Your team stinks

Not worried. We needed a win today and we got it. Games are games. In our SB season we had several games where we "found a way to win". The bottom line here is that we have played 5 games against 5 pretty good teams. Carolina has the worst record of the the 5 but their record does not reflect their talent.
We can say that the defense looked awful but honestly the Pansies had some pretty ridiculous calls go their way. I'm not saying the defense doesn't need work, but we are not bad either. |

HORRIBLE D.
Sure the call kept the drive alive for them but there were other chances to stop them. Case in point several chances they had to tackle Williams and our D tries to tackle at the shoulders??? a back like that you tackle low and wrap up. It isn't just one game we have played horrible on D since day one! |

Can say what you want, but Cam Newton has been hovering around 400 yards passing a game and we held him to 224.
I'd say our defense is "decent", not great They may give up the statistics, but hold when they need to for the most part and seem to be getting the job done the majority of the time. |
