Pretty simple
 

Tampa rushes 4, and gets pressure on Brees.

Saints rush 6, and barely pressure Freeman.

If you rush 6 and don't get to the QB, ALL 32 starting QB's will destroy you, and probably 20 or so backups will too.

Our front 4 may be the biggest problem we have on defense, including Linebackers.

you are 100% correct. Didnt see that loss coming. WTF

ohhh, and Kruetz can get the F out of N.O....he allowed several penalties, and got WHOOOPED on several One on One pass rushes, get that trash out of here. Bring back la puente or what ever the hell his name is.

You can add Olen Kreutz to that list

The defense is garbage. Worst third down defense I can remember seeing in a long time.

I'm sorry but the offense goofed this one up big time. You can't turn the ball over 4 times and expect to win.

I was hoping Kreutz would have to earn his spot back.....he didn't do that today.
Like Danno said no sign of our front four in their backfield and we must have the worst LBer's in the NFL. Don't get me wrong I love Jonathan Vilma but the supporting cast is nonexistent.

Vilma excels with a strong front four. With a weak front four he borders on being a liability. Its why he was a bad fit in NY's 3-4.

Major problems from this game are things we've been doing all year but finally came back to bite us today...

1) We blitzed the entire game and had 0 sacks and 0 turnovers. They rushed 4 the entire game and forced 4 turnovers. We're just not forcing any turnovers this year.

2) Defense can't make a 3rd down stop.

3) Not getting TD's in the redzone.

4) Poor Tackling.

5) Today we also couldn't run the ball at all. Not something that we've done much of this year but this part of our offense has to improve.

4 turnovers is ridiculous, can't blame tampa bay for taking the ball when we handed it to them on a plate

GW is starting to really get on my nerves, he says this is the best defense he has coached and we suck! we can't get any pressure without sending 6 or 7 guys whereas the bucs send 4 and brees is on his back

Worst football i've seen in a long time, they need to get it sorted, why is every game we play come down to the last play and we are down by 3-4 points, lets blow a team out for once!

I am not sure why people find this hard to believe. You're playing your third game on the road, in a row, and it is against a team that was embarrassed the week before. They also were playing, in many ways, for their season. You had to expect you were going to get their absolute best.

Defense did not get pressure today- I agree, but man I can't put this loss on them. We had a chance to take the lead at the end and Brees throws an int in the end zone. Further you turn the ball over twice inside your 30 yard line. We had another 3rd down stop taken away by yet another blown PF call. I mean this one was even worse than the last 2.

Defense was not great today, but that loss is on the 4 ****ing turnovers by the O.

Exactly what I was thinking! This team needs to get its head out of its ass right quick or it will be a very disappointing season! The game today was just a look into the future if they don't fix the fundamentals!

Bottom line is the Saints lost to a less talented team today. That's the difference between being a great team and a good team. The Saints will be in every game they play. But, they can't turn the ball over -2 in any game and win. The defense is just not good.

4 turnovers, some of them flukes, just ain't gonna cut it. Changed our entire gameplan.

They were just better than us today... best part about the NFL is there IS NEXT WEEK!!

Turnovers aside we were in this but going back to previous games and the end of last season we are still the same team, with no defense.

They don't know how to tackle and stop the run to save their lives.

Exactly ... yet it should have been three turnovers ... I did not realize it was legal to push off to get an interception :wink:, as it happened when Colston was pushed off. With three we still have a chance to win as sad as this sounds. And as aptly stated, an embarrassed Bucs team was sure to show up as they did...
