We are getting no pressure from the front 4 and MOST times with 6 we don't get there. That leaves us vulnerable beyond 3.5 seconds, especially if we bring the house. Very few DB's in the league can cover for more than 3.5 seconds. Once the QB slips away, and there's a free for all down field, we are toast. Now somebody has to make a tackle up field, probably somebody slow, with no angle. Our troubles are front side. Our front 4 are last on the tackle list every week, and our DB's are first on the list, every week. We are giving up 5.1 per rush. After run support, our DB's have nothing left for pass coverage. I would give up Hartley for Samuels. |

Its pointless debating what we need on D.
I mean we need everything don't we? Can't stop the run, can get a pass rush and can't cover a soul. Before we make any trades we should get Sharper back even if he can't go being on the sideline is an improvement. |

At Sharper's age you might be wishing for Bullocks back.

Greer taken a step back this year? He looks better than he did last season. I think he's playing quite well.
Everything starts at DT. If we can't light a fire under Rogers, Franklin, Ellis, and Johnson's behind, it doesn't matter who we trade for. That said, no I don't want Asante. While a good player, he has a fat contract and we have quality corners. Luxury acquisition... not a need. |

All im saying is this. Is our pass rush the best? No. Can they do better? Hell yes. But we are getting to the Qb. D-LINE and the Secondary go hand and hand. You can get to the QB all day but if your secondary guys can't cover for long its going to be a short throw that leads to a long TD run. I like Harper but you line him up against most TE in the league he's going to get beat. I guarantee you that you will never hear "that was a great coverage sack by the Saints". Our secondary was our biggest strength in 09 and now its a weakness. But im a secondary guy so I might be a lil bias.
