The Saints are horrible on defense. If they had one, they would be a dynasty. Their 3rd down wins are abysmal. They cannot get off the field, therefore Drew and the offense if off the field. They cannot tackle, too much diving at feet with head down. Harper is digustingly bad at tackling (ie. Marshawn Lynch run)There is no pressure on the QB and absolutely worse of all, they cannot stop the run!

If they bring in a bangbacker, maybe Bussey, move Vilma in for Shanle," teams wear him out" shade Harper to the youth, " I know I'm crazy, but we would be strong on the run".

At the beginning of the season, it looked as if our DEs would be the weak part of the D-line and the DTs would be strong, but it's been totally opposite from that.
Our DEs have been somewhat surprising to me, as we seem to get around the edge a lot more pressure from the outside than we have had in the past few years. Cameron Jordan has played rather well imo , and Will Smith still looks pretty good. Of course, getting pressure from the edges doesn't mean a whole lot if you don't push the QBs pocket back. Our DTs have just been flat out terrible, and its a damn shame considering how much of a priority we made it in the off season. They are the biggest problem on the team and if we got some production out of them I think most of the problems that most people are poking at would go away. Linebackers have looked pretty bad as well, though tbh, I think this is something we can resolve as we have a lot of parts to mix and match. I'm hoping Wilson comes around. I'm not really sure that DBs are the problem on this team(though I think Harper can definitely be a liability). Yes we give up a lot of passing yard, I just don't think it is because of poor coverage. When you have time to throw the ball, and you allow the QB to a clean throwing lane, your DBs are going to give up yards in the passing game. There's really no way around that. The only game I thought our DBs looked horrible was the game in GB and that was the first game of the year. They've improved a lot since. |

I just remember going into the season, the Eagles were heralded for their free agent signings, the "dream team" bs, while our FA moves were hardly talked about.... So far, the only FA that we signed, that I see tearing it up is Sproles.... But at 4-2, it's hardly over for the season. Eagles? heh heh heh.... can't say that about them.... They will go down in history, as the highest paid NFL team, to NOT make the play offs...
