I was there.
The Colts were completely hopeless.
Their defense was so weak that I don't think Payton Manning could have scored enough points to offset them.

If I remember correctly, the Colts came to the Superdome not too long ago during the Haslet era and dropped 55 points on the Saints.

Final score 55 to 21. There was no outrage.

I think 62 to 7 was a fitting revenge.

There is no comparison because it is completely different situations.

You can't shut it down after the first quarter, there is way to much time left on the clock and a lot of football to go.

You don't know what is going to happen in the second half to shut down at the half even.

Hell look what happen to Bronco's and Dolphins.

I understand if you're up 3 scores and 2 minutes left but it all comes down to how much football is left in the game and there sure was a lot to go in the Saints game.

My impression of the score was that once we reached a certain point, we were just running the ball to try and run out the clock. The Colts weren't tackling anyone!

I was worried that folks would think we were running up the score. But we really did back off and Brees came out early(not even allowing another 350 yd. game). Sproles was proabaly one of the few that was playing and shouldn't have been. You know what? Screw whoever thinks that F 'em. I dont think we will be haunted by the ghost of bad kharma for this win.

Remember the Saints getting critcized by Dallas players for NOT scoring against Dallas in 2006 while ahead 42-17?

I don't remember a lot of critcism of the Patricheats when they beat Tennessee? 69-0 in '09; and Brady and co. played the whole game. And I believe it was a home game for Tennesee .

Nothing much to see here. We all knew this article was coming, even before the game was over. Someone is just pissed because their favorite team got the snot beat out of them.

That's it! It was Dungy who wrote that article!! LOL
