Saints underperformed and looked unprepared - in a funk. All credit goes to the Rams who handed the Saints their rear ends.

Happens all the time in the NFL after a big win. Remember how the Bucs played against us 3 weeks ago? Last week they came out stale and got beat. Happens in the NFL all the time.
Yes that is usually my motto... and so true.
"Any given team can beat any given team on any given Sunday".

But this team hasn't improved from the Seattle game.

I think sometimes our coaching staff tries to get a little too cute. They may have preached to the team that this was a trap game, but we looked vanilla...schematically...from the get go.

They saw this as another opportunity for other teams to get good "tape" on us, so the coaches put together a vanilla game plan, and it backfired.

That and the O-line sucked balls.

Honestly it seemed like we were trying to settle down too much and didn't catch any momentum. The Rams came out swinging and beat us at our own game, being explosive.

I don't think we'll ever fit as a conservative team, running on 1st and 2nd down.

Play calling was awfull from the get go & entire game. Didin't play our game & went with silly run against the Rams stats for the calls. Plenty of matchups that would have worked. The reason as I see it for the loss was play calling..........

NO WAY.

The Rams came to play and were fired up. The Rams didn't show exploseness like the Saints at all. Steven Jackson had to fire them up just to hang on to their lead and not let us come back.

Play calling doesn't lose you games its the execution of the plays. Most of everything we did the Rams had an answer for. They played the best Defense against us.

O-line has to carry the load for this loss.
