This might be an area of concern for the Saints in the future, with the potential of Duece and Terelle wanting larger paydays . Some might see this as an indication that Mc Carthy may be leaning towards a heavier ground attack and more play action pass next year ..... |

If McCarthy wants to go to some sort of power running game, we don\'t have the linemen for it. Bentley and Fontenot are the only guys who are really run blocking guys. It would explain the rumors about 2 tight end sets, but Boo will have to work on his blocking to even attempt to run that type of offense. Since Haslett seems to have made a genuine effort to dump all of his run blocking linemen, this sort of offense seems ill-advised. I smell \"complete overhaul\". |

The line is built for run blocking. Are you forgetting that Victor Riley and Montrae Holland are specialized in run blocking. Kendyl Jacox is also a pretty good run blocker. The only player I question as far as run blocking is Gandy and he\'s pretty good.

This does smell like Haslett. Can\'t leave a good thing alone. Anyone want to bet that our defense is better than our offense next season? You know that the Saints can only play well on one side of the ball at a time. I love Deuce, but we need to better utilize our WRs, TEs, and Brooks to spread the field and open up running lanes with the pass. Not the opposite. Leave it alone Haslett!!

i have to agree with SFA, our line is a solid run blocking line, and is a pretty descent pass blocking line as well. we have good depth on the line and i think we will actually be better on the line this year as our 2nd round pick last year, stinchcomb will see more playing time and montrae holland should be starting but i also expect the saints to take another lineman in the draft to add to the depth

3rd round pick :
Alex Stepanovich, Sr, Ohio State Solid prospect in the center of the line . Scouting Report: Alex Stepanovich By TFY Draft Preview Date: Nov 3, 2003 Big, mean thug in the middle of the line that controls the situation. Nasty, looks to destroy defenders and usually does. I\'d be in favor of it. Would go a long way towards a dominant interior line for the next several years.
Still going to need to address the tackles in the next year or so. |

If there was early interest in other centers in the draft , I would go with Alex Stepanovich at the 2B position of the Saints draft .
Denver is projected 1.7 million over the cap . Potential cap casualities out of Denver : WR. Ed Mc Caffrey DT. Daryl Gardner T. Ephraim Salaam Without clearing more bodies out of Denver , you have to wonder how they are going to resign Wilson . Jerimiah Trotter proved to be less then effective in the Redskins system , he could be someone that Gibbs looks at as a cap casuality . There might be some MLB position surprises out there ahead . Hopefully Gandy holds up for the next season , they put some money out for him and to cut him would hurt the cap . |

The only problem with getting a lineman out of Denver is that you\'d have to re-train him...chop blocking (and cheating in general) is part of their game, and the refs would never allow the Saints to get away with that stuff! LOL

Thats a 100% undeniable FACT! Forget the LOL, its not a joke. OK boys and girls, where did Denver learn the leg whips and chop blocks from? Thats right - the epitome of evil - the 49ers. NLMAO Die you vermen bile! |
