I definitely recall 4 picks that hit receivers hands, and there may be more. It kind of scews the numbers. I wish receivers could get credited for picks in those cases. As many passes as Brees is throwing, there are bound to be a few off the mark, especially with the protection troubles this season. The number of decisions also go up, good and bad, and he's thrown a few that he should have been thown into the 10 row. Drew is one of the best. He has been healthy, real or perceived, for his entire Saint tenure. I would hate to have the weight of all that new money crank up the jinx machine.

There were some poorly run routes that the average could see and perhaps some incorrect routes not seen by fans.

Bottom line, the guy is the most important Saints player of all time. How do you quantify that? You can't but he deserves a large sum of money.
