IMO, Saints should play the veteran RBs & let Ingram watch and learn
The Saints, meanwhile, have a stable of running backs to choose from to complement Brees and the passing game. Either rookie Mark Ingram or second-year pro Chris Ivory will be inactive despite being healthy, with the other joining veterans Pierre Thomas and Darren Sproles on the active roster.

Wow, they just let anyone write articles these days. Why would you not want Ingram to get touches and learn the speed of the game. Yea were going to just bench one of our 1st round picks.

Yeah I'd rather see ivory right now. Mainly because I think either he or possibly, if the value is right, pt will end up being traded next year.. ideally I'd rather it be ivory, but without much of a resume I don't think they'd get much for him.. here's hoping he's healthy, active and effective the rest of the year. Then maybe sometime next year we see a Chris ivory for Rocky mcintosh trade? Yeah, right Haha I know wishful thinking. That would mean the FO finally decided upgrade the olb spot, fat chance.. still, I can dream

Ingram led the entire NFL in 3rd and 4th down conversions before hurting his heel. I don't understand why anyone would want to sit a player that productive.
As the playoffs approach we'll need a runner like Ingram, so I'm against any sort of red-shirting him for the remainder of the season. |

True. Should have audibled out of it or Brees should have faked the hand off and rolled out and probably would have walked in.
