this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Drew's agility and footwork is just amazing too just to be able to avoid those tackles all while looking downfield....

Brees has always had incredible footwork, he says its due to him playing a lot of tennis when he was younger.
It was an incredible play by our legend QB, he was not going to be denied a first down on that play. If you watch brees closely when he's back to pass, he has a 6th sense about the pass rush and how close it is, he climbs the pocket so well whilst keeping his eyes downfield. Always knows what happening around him Plus having a running game doesnt hurt |

Not only that but he escapes the sack & then stiff arms-jukes the other defender before he threw the ball. He has a "6th" sense for the defenders.
Maybe he does see "dead people" becasue that is about what the Giants are at this point!
