this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; i say yes, he was a great support player who made several big plays that i can remember, ie, turnovers and i think he would be great on special teams coverage units...

I think that he needs another year on this defense to pass judgement, but he does need to improve his tackling in the offseason. He seems to be like alot of the other safeties in the league who look to deliver the big hit without wrapping up.

\"Slow\" wasn\'t the only knock on Sammy if I remember right. I seem to recall that he \"wasn\'t good in coverage, strictly a run support DB.\" Not that we\'ve had any trouble stopping the run since Sammy was shipped out... :casstet: Sorry, losing Sammy really makes me bitter. Almost as bitter as not even making an offer for LaRoi, or totally running Willie Roaf out of town. |
