Probably the best way for the Saints to ensure their position and safety from injury is simply to stomp on the Panthers early. Get up 21 or more points by the mid 2nd quarter, then look to start pulling the starters not because of the 49ers/Rams game, but because of the insurmountable lead. But in any case, it's not about records. You can best believe that if the Saints were locked in at #2 or #3 at this point, that most starters would be sitting, and not playing. SFIAH |
