According to the NFL FreakANomics interactive article firing head coaches makes no difference and can actually make the situation worse. I thought Morris had real passion for that team.

I thought they should have given him another year to straighten it out. He showed last year he could get the job done, and things spiraled. He didn't have much of an offseason with his guys. I think it's unfair to not give him the chance to straighten it out.
