The weather is a big one. And I think Alex Smith will have a collapse to rival Jake Delhomme 2008.

WOW - I like what this guy has to say. Makes me feel good. I am sure there is another article form the Whiner point of view.

OK - this is weird. Scrolled down in thelink page above (pg 2) & found this poll...

What player stood out the most during the Saints win over the 49ers?

SS Roman Harper
DE Will Smith
RB Mark Ingram
DT Mitch King
RB Joique Bell
WR Joe Morgan
LB Jonathan Casillas
QB Chase Daniel
WR Courtney Roby

I agree with it all but #6

"6) Although it was a preseason game, August 12th told alot
~ The Saints defeated the 49ers 24-3 on August 12th in a meaningless preseason game. Although that will have no impact on Saturday’s playoff game, it showed what the Saints are capable of doing to this offensive line. The Saints first and second units recorded six sacks in the FIRST HALF against this team. Williams knows how, where, and when to blitz them and how to get to Smith. There is no doubt Smith remembers that game in his mind, and it will increase his anxiety facing this defense."

Really... The FIRST preseason game of the season after a lockout which limited everyone's practice time. Now common, that comment makes the writer and us look retarded.

4 is right now, the Saints have way to many weapons for the 49ers to stop. Been preaching that the whole second half of the season. Saints have 10 skill guys that produce, most teams have 3-4 at the most

The preseason thing gets talked about -- one 49ers internet guy was boasting about how their D shut Brees down while he was in there for his one or two series during preseason. What he didn't know was that the play that stalled that particular drive, was a 3rd and short pass to Jimmy Graham, that Drew kind of gunned it and Graham plain old dropped the ball. Contrast a player coming off an injury at the end of his rookie season, without camp and practice, in the first preseason game of the year, with the Jimmy Graham that we have right now, and see what he's been doing with the ball, and ask yourself if you think he will flat out drop that type of pass in this game if Drew throws it his way on third down. Preseason is pretty meaningless, but it's also got things that you can see. So we learned that something is there in the playbook and matchups between these two teams, where Jimmy Graham can get wide open.

Sigh.... I am already tired of hearing from mouthy, fairweather 49ers fans who have suddenly come out of the wood work, much like the tool box who feels the need to reply to the author of this article. All Niners fans seem to be doing is trying to convince everyone and sadly themselves that they will win this game. As someone so eloquently put it in another thread "the lights finally come on in San Fran and all the cockroaches start scurrying". Frankly I need no statistical support, media approval or anything more than the faith I have in this organization. We are the better team, we will be the better team. Come on Saturday.
