My buddy is a huge Michigan fan. I saw every one of their games this past season. That guy can play. I wouldn\'t be at all unhappy if they nabbed him.

Bleh...I\'d rather have a half-dozen other guys in the 2nd round. Keith Smith & Joey Thomas are the main two I hope they target.

well rage, y dont u tell me y u would want keith smith or joey thomas over Jeremy LeSueur, keith smith played at mcneese which is the same school that i attend and i really dont think he is all that and i have no idea who n the hell joey thomas is... while LeSueur played at michigan, which is a big time football program in which their secondary only allowed 5 TD passes all year long, excluding the rose bowl... so tell me, again Y LeSueur isnt your choice?

Going to a big time school doesn\'t make you a better prospect. Just look at Charles Tillman last year. Keith Smith & Joey Thomas have about the same amount of hype as Tillman did coming out of college and he had a hell of a rookie season.

Thomas is 6\' and runs a 4.4. Smith is 5\'11\" and runs a 4.5. From what I have read, both dominated on their level.

Plus, here are some rankings from one of the more respected draft pages out there:
NAME CLASS SCHOOL HT WT
1. DeAngelo Hall Jr. Virginia Tech 5-11 200
2. Derrick Strait Sr. Oklahoma 5-11 195
3. Chris Gamble Jr. Ohio State 6-2 185
4. Keith Smith Sr. McNeese State 5-11 185
5. Joey Thomas Sr. Montana State 6-1 195

6. Keiwan Ratliff Sr. Florida 5-9 170
7. Batman Carroll Jr. Arkansas 5-11 190
8. Will Poole Sr. USC 5-10 185
9. Nathan Vasher Sr. Texas 5-10 175
10.Vontez Duff Sr. Notre Dame 5-11 195
11.Shawntae Spencer Sr. Pittsburgh 6-2 185
12.Ricardo Colclough Sr. Tusculum 5-10 190
13.Lawrence Richardson Sr. Arkansas 5-10 185
14.Janssen Patton Sr. Bowling Green 6-0 185
15.Jeremy LaSeuer Sr. Michigan 5-11 200
If we wanted LaSeuer, I would bet that we could pick him up in the 3rd round.

Round 2

Pick

Richard Seigler, 6-3, 235, Oregon State

Great hitter , great motor and great leader . 3 traits missing from the Saints linebacker core ....

Seigler is hardly a scrub. He should go around the time our first 2nd round pick comes up and he may even go higher than that. He could potentially end up in the late 1st round. Remember Nick Barnett last year? Yeah...

nick barnett? please man, he wasnt that great, he played on a packers team whose defensive line was marred by injuries, and that forced him to make alot of tackles.. he had 112 of them, and 3 ints. thats not too bad but he played on a very pourous defense and he should have actually made more plays then he did b/c they just sucked on D last year, they played a total of 4 playoff teams with a 2-2 record in those games, and in those 4 games he had a total of 26 tackles....they played Detroit(twice) Arizona, San Diego, Chicago(Twice) Oakland thats not really great comp. and he didnt really blow up in those games either...... plain n simple, even against one of the weakest schedules he didnt blow away the competition....i was not impressed by him... at all

One probelm is you really shouldn\'t rely on all these mocks and junk. Hell I can post one and someone who things its good could believe it. Please... unless its the actual Saints War Room Draft Book or any other teams... it simply doesn\'t matter who is rated higher than another. Because when a team picks a player there will be a huge debate on how much value a player or team got at that pick and its all OPININATED! ...And Opinions are like what??? ASSWHOLES! Everyone\'s got one. Not only does team needs and talent of a player count but also if the player will be a good fit and a major contributor for a team, and yes now or in a few years.

LeSueur is a legit pick in the second round but not at 48... I\'ll give ya the 60th pick. Could he come in and start... ??? I think so, I seen him several times and he is a sleeper pick in this draft. I think he will come in and make an impact just as well as any other top CB\'s.

Thomas is the other one I have been eyeing but only becuase of his size.
