Jenkins played a bad game but he was put in bad situations. Davis was their ONLY legitimate receiver today and we left him one on one with a safety. I posted in another thread that Davis had 180 of the teams 299 receiving yards. Their wide outs were nervous and didn't look ready for this stage. You need to take away Davis and the coaching staff didn't do that. Davis will beat a lot of safeties in one on one coverage. Jenkins should of had help all game and didn't get it.

Time for another burial ceremony of all of our pass accomplishments and get hungry again. Act like we never won it. Like we're still fighting 45 years of history. Like a half million Katrina victims are still counting on the team to bring some cheer back to New Orleans. |

The niners were on their own 30 with 40 seconds left. No one should be left on an island in that situation. I agree that Jenkins was outplayed by Davis but Jenkins should have been back in coverage keeping receivers in front of him, not matched up in man with the only offensive player who was playing well.
