We were up a score and just needed our defense to just keep doing what they had been doing all game long. What the heck changed on the 49ers last two drives? How do we let smith go 165 yards and two TDs in less than a few minutes???? We had him contained the whole game and then just let him gut is? Alex freaking smith - I mean really???
This is what hurts the most.

Not gonna argue, WestBank. I was shocked at the way our defense played in the last 4 minutes and especially in the last 1:47. I was wondering why we didn't do better clock management on offense in the last drive - but I'm sure no one knew Graham would break that one.

I'm just trying to look at the game and our performance from an entire game / season point-of-view. We can come back from a large point deficit and we did today. But, now, I just think we need to look at specific areas that did not work today -- for the future.

This, to me was an amazing season. We won the division. We beat the f*ckin Falcons TWICE. And, we're 13-3. Do I want another SuperBowl? You bet your a$$ I do! But, I also just want to acknowledge what we accomplished this year and look at what we can fix next year. This was disappointing to me, but not crushing. It's a game and I enjoyed the whole season.

And thats my point! Only Davis was playing well against us so why put him against a safety. Why push the blitz when we know they have no choice but to throw deep? Throw it up, one on one, 6'6 TE vs 6'0 FS. Brees has been doing this all year! Has GW watched our offense at all?????!!!!???

I guess that the D was tired during the last minutes of the game.

I just don't know what else to think.
