Nope. You just felt it more. We only lost by four, and clearly overcame a lot of bad luck by the talent we had, to get there.

Green Bay was pretty hapless all day long, their quarterback appeared almost neutered.

Makes me feel good too, since we smoked the Giants' a few weeks earlier.

One MORE big stop. The D was handing the ball back to the offense all day long. The offense had plenty of chances, and used a lot of them well.

Let's face it, one of our key players got knocked out, and I kind of wonder why they didn't let him back into the game. Pierre probably would've opened up a can of whoop-ass on them after that hit. I still think it was questionable at best, very borderline penalty wise.

Pundits always try to justify the referees, or do at least most of the time. I think they thought the SF story was better, so they were rooting for them to win.

All you've got to do is point at the stats. Eli is great, don't get me wrong. But most of our money was spent on the "O" which is why our general strategy is try to do our best to minimize scores with a team effort on D, then score a ton of points on the O.

I'm definitely rooting for the niners this weekend then the AFC team to win the Super Bowl.

This weekend is the perfect case in point. When it mattered most, Eli's defense against the highest scoring team in football made a huge 4th down stop and forced 2 turnovers in the 4th quarter. Drew's defense? Allowed 2 85 yard TD drives in the final 5 minutes of the 4th quarter against the 26th ranked offense in the NFL.

Anxiously waiting a headline that reads; "Ram's Fisher bringing in Saint's D Coordinator Williams"
I don't care who wins, I just want the Giants' to play to hurt SF. Well, I guess I'd rather have the Giants' as I just don't think encouraging arrogant, aggression should be encouraged. Personally I like the quiet strength displayed by the Saints', the anti-bully. So, chop 'em in half Giants, especially that smug safety. Rig a special play to do the over-under on the guy that hit Thomas. He needs some of his own medicine.

I found myself wishing for a Longest Yard play on that safety, throw the play away, just to give him a hit he wouldn't forget. I forget his name, I think it started with a "V".

I agree because I really only care about the Saints. And I don't mean worse embarassing. I say thank you Saints for a great season and all. But I mean worse because I didn't like it.

Personally, if the votes weren't already taken, I would say that this game would be a good argument for Brees getting the MVP. Passing 40/63 for 462 yards and 4 touchdowns. Where Aaron Rodgers threw for 26/46 for 264 yards and two TD and one int. Sure, Brees had 2 interceptions during the game, but he overcame the ints, plus the other turnovers, and came back in the final minutes and HAD the game won for the Saints. Unfortunatly, he had NO control of what happened the final 97 seconds.

I just had an idea. Maybe we could give Drew a dual role. Quarterback and Defensive Coordinator. He does such a good job of reading the Defenses that he's facing, I'm sure he would do just as good a job of reading the offenses that our defense is facing.

Yea, I meant objectively. I have to agree with you, as the loss was worse personally. This was clearly a SuperBowl team.

It's just speculation, like all of this, but I think if we'd had just one less turnover, we'd have won. It shows just how strong this team was, that we had our main running back for this game knocked out, and we still almost won.

WTF was that kickoff crap, with the googly-eyes and the crazy hand motions. Seems like that stuff is supposed to be illegal, or is that only after touchdowns? It was really obnoxious. God I hope the Giants' kick their a$$es.

I hear ya Sarge. But that then brings Brady onto the argument and I do not like that.

So freaking awful...
Eli is certainly one of the luckiest QB's I have ever seen, but to put him in the same category as Brees is just ridiculous.
