this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; The worst part is I live in NY. I'm going to have to hear from all my friends about how Eli is better than Drew until next season starts. So freaking awful......

Just to be clear: I absolutely agree with you, Buds; and this is EXACTLY my argument when I have this discussion.
In my opinion, Drew is one of the three best QBs (Peyton and Brady, MAYBE Rodgers), if not THE best QB in the league. |

All you've got to do is point at the stats. Eli is great, don't get me wrong. But most of our money was spent on the "O" which is why our general strategy is try to do our best to minimize scores with a team effort on D, then score a ton of points on the O.

Still a lot of football left before he can take another championship. |

I'm definitely rooting for the niners this weekend then the AFC team to win the Super Bowl.![]()
This weekend is the perfect case in point. When it mattered most, Eli's defense against the highest scoring team in football made a huge 4th down stop and forced 2 turnovers in the 4th quarter. Drew's defense? Allowed 2 85 yard TD drives in the final 5 minutes of the 4th quarter against the 26th ranked offense in the NFL. Anxiously waiting a headline that reads; "Ram's Fisher bringing in Saint's D Coordinator Williams" |

Rig a special play to do the over-under on the guy that hit Thomas. He needs some of his own medicine.![]()
I found myself wishing for a Longest Yard play on that safety, throw the play away, just to give him a hit he wouldn't forget. I forget his name, I think it started with a "V". |

Eli is certainly one of the luckiest QB's I have ever seen, but to put him in the same category as Brees is just ridiculous.
