SloMo, I will tell you, the mudbugs were a bit on the hot side last year.
My fingers were swollen for two days, but Hou-Yats wife will be monitoring
the spice more closely this year. I dont know if you've caught on, but
a bunch of us Saints fans in Houston, actually hang together in real life.
We all met online, many from this site. B&G is not your typical place on
the internet.

Oh no, I've caught on and I agree 100% when you say B&G is not your typical place on the 'net, it's like coming in from the storm. Buy hey, back to the crayfish .... IDK what I like better, crayfish boil or a big ol' bushel basket of crabs, big ol' picnic table, buckets of longnecks, some friends and a hot summer evening ..... it don't get no better then that ..... and oh yeah, HOW 'BOUT THOSE GIANTS?, LoL!

ya damn Lions fan--- you're the first person to make me smile since we lost last week. I know
everybody else on this board feels the same as me, when football season ends... What do we think about? Mardi Gras, and crawfish season, whatever festival you like, and summer hangin out. Thank you much.

btw, its "crawfish," not "crayfish," if you want to sound Gulf Coast. or mudbugs. Now if you can get me to say DEE-troit right, we'll be even.

Here's some more interesting stuff: I live in southeast Texas, between Houston and Beaumont. SE Tex, since its Gulf Coast also, pretty much looks like Louisiana. Here, look at where my awesome swamp house is:

So you can see SE Texas & Louisiana are the same Gulf Coast. Everyone here has at least one Cajun neighbor. I have a lot. We all have hurricanes, skeeters, gators, snakes, crawfish, rice (big crop here), bayous, gumbo, and OIL makes the world go round here. Actually, both SE TX and LA have similiar, fascinating history.

Because of the Oil business, a ton of people live in both SE Texas and Louisiana. So while some people think Texas and cowboys, (which is true in other areas) my part of Texas tastes more like cayenne peppers than jalapeno peppers.

And Houston, the city itself, is nothing Texas. Its basically no different than Chicago or Los Angeles. You wont even hear a Texas accent there.

Just wanted to share. How Bout Them Giants, indeed!

LoL! ... and that's why I fish ... keeps me busy in between football seasons ... yeah, and we just call 'em 'crayfish' up here because calling 'em 'crawfish' is kinda' insulting to the quality and quantity of mudbugs y'all got down there, but we do use the correct terminology when we get some of those big, hogger ones from down your way ... those are 'crawfish'.

Nice area you got there, I am definitely in the wrong part of the country ... I was shoveling snow this weekend, but in my heart & mind I was on a flat bottom boat running those lakes, rivers and bayous in your Google map ... there has to be some Cajun-blood in my family tree somewhere ... has to be ... there's just too much about the Gulf region I agree with ...
