LB Scott Shanle on the Saints defense recently: “When you run the type of defenses we ran with Gregg (Williams) in the division, you start to get teams that understand what you’re doing and all start to scheme you the same way. ... After a while, it starts to get tough to play defense when you feel like teams are (ready) week in and week out when you blitz so much.”

I have to agree.... After our superbowl year, it seemed as if teams knew exactly what our defense was gonna do every down. The Seattle game always comes to mind. A better defensive scheme, with better tackling, and more fire, and i could see this team not playing for their second ring, but their third in a few weeks.... Instead, now we get to watch from the couch....

And you don't think the two are connected at all? If the opponents has figured out your scheme they gonna make your players look bad because they come to play too.
