There's a difference though. Spencer is entering his prime years, less mileage on his body, and can play both rush end and linebacker. Brown was 30+, 8 years in the league, and an average/solid rush end.

I do understand what you're getting at though... but if we going to be gun shy ever off season hoping to not find the next Alex Brown, we're going to miss out on a lot of good players.

Yeah that's very true, i don't really know alot about spencer except when the announcers say he gets a sack lol
I'd like to look at Robert Mathis or anthony spencer, we have a lot of young DE's to groom, I hope Romeus stays healthy, with coaching he could make a huge impact
