He has more sacks by himself than all our LB's combined. He might be worth a look. What to do with Anthony Spencer? - NFL Nation Blog - ESPN |

I've been thinking about him for a couple of weeks already. Would love to have him here... I can still remember how beastly he was in college. He hasn't exactly accomplished what I thought he would, but a pretty good player and would be a nice fit if the price is right. Good eye there.

When I think of getting a guy like him though there's two words that echo in my head .......Alex brown
Remember when we were promised a veteran guy that's been dominant in the past and has more sacks than most our of players, I was sick of Alex brown after the 3rd game of the season |

There's a difference though. Spencer is entering his prime years, less mileage on his body, and can play both rush end and linebacker. Brown was 30+, 8 years in the league, and an average/solid rush end.
I do understand what you're getting at though... but if we going to be gun shy ever off season hoping to not find the next Alex Brown, we're going to miss out on a lot of good players. |

I'd like to look at Robert Mathis or anthony spencer, we have a lot of young DE's to groom, I hope Romeus stays healthy, with coaching he could make a huge impact |

After the big 3 are resigned then yeah it sounds like a good idea to bring him in if Spags wants him around

Spencer might move if he wants to play on a team with a real QB!
