Congratulations Drew, he got screwed out of the MVP again though. How Rodgers got it is a joke

It's pretty funny how Brees is giving the audience the "finger" the whole time he's giving the acceptance speech.... or is it just for Rodgers? |

I just find this odd. How can Aaron Rodgers miss out on offensive player of the year to Brees but win MVP? I just want to know the logic. I know Rodgers had an unbelievable year too, but c'mon he wasn't even the Offensive Player of the Year.
I would love to place their stats right next to each other, and I may just do that and post it. Brees not only broke the total passing yards in a season record, he broke the record for passing accuracy in a season, and completions in a season. I think the only record I heard that Rodgers broke was that he had the highest quarterback rating ever. I think at the very minimum Brees and Rodgers should have split it. Other than wins, the only thing Rodgers probably out did Brees on was rushing yards and rushing tds. In the highlights of the MVP candidates, it showed that Rodgers had 5 passing tds in a single game (like it was a huge deal) Brees had 5 passing tds in three games this season; as a matter of fact, he had 14 td passes in the final three games of the season. The only thing I can say is WTF!!! |

There is a strong argument for both Brees and Rodgers. For example, Rodgers only threw six interceptions this year. The award went to Rodgers in a landslide and that's what hard for me to understand. |

Most of the stats are close, but here's why I would have voted Rogers also (all homerism aside)...
Rodgers - 45 TD's, 6 ints Brees - 46 TD's, 14 ints Rogers earned it and honestly, he deserved it. |
