Whoever talked him into starting this venture must have a serious gift of gab because as a business model, I can see several things that look very risky, one the whole incident we all know about which doesn't make him the model spokesperson for anything, then, he only appeals to a very small market. Very small. It would have to be an insanely good product to survive in this economy with a very long burn rate to even break even years from now. Then, as someone stated, the market is flooded. I think it could work with another player but not him. This would have been something the late Norman Hand probably could have pulled off. I would have bought any food related product from him. He looked like a man who knew about food.

Nah, not that risky, really. You don't have to invest on a plant and bottle your own stuff. You can contract with a wholesale outfit, that merely slaps a label to a product, and in the case of Joe, it may very well be a wholesaler threw a few bucks his way to let them put Joe's name on a label.

He is probably just the spokesman for some companies product as opposed to footing the entire operation himself. hes just helping an already existing sauce by putting his face on the lable of an already existing product and just getting royalties. i had a vineyard approach me and say they would put my logo on their wine so i could sell it as house wine. any person on here could get their name on a label. joe horns name just sells better. ever see Zeas beer? its just heinerbrough with a Zeas label.
