Former Saints receiver Joe Horn takes on new venture

During a 12-year career spent mostly with the New Orleans Saints, Joe Horn built a reputation as one of the flashiest and most productive wide receivers in the NFL.

Now, five years after his playing days ended, the 40-year-old Horn is remaking himself as a barbecue-sauce entrepreneur.
Horn recently launched Bayou87 BBQ Sauces, and will appear at two events this weekend on the Mississippi coast to meet with fans and promote the brand.

Horn will sign autographs from 3-6 p.m. today at Rouse's market in Diamondhead. He's also co-sponsoring a BBQ cook-off with Winn-Dixie Stores, and will appear at the D'Iberville location for final contest judging beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday.

Another pro player with a BBQ sauce? Yeah, he definitely hit his head one too many times...

Gotta meet the snake oil salesman that convinces these guys to buy food processing and bottling equipment; probably the same recipe too...
