Why did brees turn down the contract we offered him?
this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Ok, let's look at the tag another way. I'm not sure exactly how the amout applied to salary caps works but I would assume with the tag at say 14.5 million all of that would apply to the cap since ...

Ok, let's look at the tag another way. I'm not sure exactly how the amout applied to salary caps works but I would assume with the tag at say 14.5 million all of that would apply to the cap since it is a one year deal. How much of a 90 or 100 million deal would count against the cap this year? Maybe Drew will accept the tag to allow enough cap space to sign the other guys. What do you guys think?
