Well Skippy, if you were truly hear for 'football talk' you would have seen my HONEST opinion about this ... it's been posted. Not that it would matter any, because you'd try to bait/flame me on it anyway. Didn't you once tell me, "I goof around 90% of the time" ... but wait, this is your 10%, right? I don't hate you dude, actually, I really don't think about you all that much. Don't flatter yourself.

All teams were doing it, or at least a majority of them. Have you listen to any of the former players. GW didn't start the program. It's been a part of the game since day one.


When college football first started the object was to take the BEST player(s) out of the game. There were something like 30 deaths until the Prez stepped in with the NCAA. So why do it? Comradery, respect, bragging rights, winning.

It's a black eye on the NFL and they want it stopped. They can't go after every team so what do you do? You go after the team that has the best evidence against them and throw the book at em'. It sends a clear message to the rest of the teams that this part of the game will no longer be tolerated.
