I am willing to be there is a clause in their. Everyone I worked for had them in their. But we also had Football pools, NCAA bracket pools.

And yes even the NFL has the policy.

Seriously? Dude Google required us to have mandatory sessions with lawyers about everything you can imagine. I can say I never searched through the documentation specifically for office pools. What I CAN say is that Google was (and still is) SO concerned about such things I doubt VERY SERIOUSLY they would allow management to promote office pools the way they do.

The deal was always this: You can't make a profit, meaning the person or group running the pool can't make any money off it. That's pretty much it.

Google Engineers have created tools to help people set up brackets and have promoted them on the 'official' Google blog.

I can only say that, based on what I know, this sort of thing would absolutely not be allowed if there were a specific policy against it. In other words, I think I'm willing to take your bet.

It's interesting because, technically, office pools aren't legal in California.
