There is a clear disconnect between the media and reality right now.
While getting a reward for hurting someone is pretty barbaric, and not deserving of praise or leniency, it is about as harmful in the context of the NFL as a racist joke: Classless and offensive, true, but actually harmful? No. Also, we don't know the full story, the pay-offs could have been $2000 for a big hit, -500 for an injury and -1000 for a cart-off, for all we know. |
