After winning the SB, Eli Manning just restructured his contract and saved the Giants a few million dollars. That's what I call a team player.

... sure... of course, Manning has had a much bigger contract during his time in NY than Brees during his time in NO. Brees just played 6 years for 60 mil, and pretty much has been the best QB in the league in that stretch. That's ~20-40 mil less than both Mannings, Vick, Big Ben, Brady, Rivers... less than Kolb, Cassell, Stafford, Bradford...

Oh, and Manning re-structured. Re-structuring doesn't mean salary cut, it is a mere re-shuffling of when Manning gets the money. Matter of fact, according to the NY Daily News, the 9 mil is now guaranteed, which actually works out better for Manning. He may get it now upfront in the form of a bonus, or just spread it along a couple of years.
