n. 1. A violent collapse inward, as of a highly evacuated glass vessel. 2. Violent compression. 3. The inward collapse of a building that is being demolished in a controlled fashion by the weakening and breaking of structural members by explosives. Alright, I assume you are using the first definition. The Saints have let the top OG in free agency go for an amount that was clearly not reasonable. They appear to have the inside track at picking up the 2nd best FA OG to replace him at a much lower price. I see that as a win. The Saints kept Marques Colston while letting Meachem, their #5 reciever behind Colston, Graham, Moore and Henderson go elsewhere. This will allow Adrian Arrington to step into that role for a fraction of the price. I see that as a win. Drew Brees was given the tag to hold him in place until everything else is taken care of. At that time they will work out the very best long term deal they can afford until the remaining cap. The team will get hit by the loss of some draft choices and various fines which will not affect the product on the field to any material point. The coach may get a suspension, but it will be more prepared for than the time he missed to the broken leg last year. I'm sorry but none of this approaches a violent collapse given the Saints will still be the best team in the NFC South Relax and enjoy the ride. ![]() |
