Dunta,Vilma,DJ...Process of Elimination
Players that will most likely be picked before us…
1. Eli Manning -QB 2. Ben Rothlisburger -QB 3. Robert Gallery -LT 4. Larry Fitzgerald -WR 5. Keneche Udeze- DE 6. Roy Williams-WR 7. Mike Williams -WR 8. Sean Taylor -S 9.. Vince Wilfork -DT 10. Tommy Harris -DT 11. Kellen Winslow -TE 12. Will Smith – DE 13. Phillip Rivers - QB (Pittsburgh, I guarantee it!) 14. DeAngelo Hall - CB 15. Steven Jackson – RB (Denver If the top 4 D-line are gone, Detroit likes him too.) 16. Reggie Williams-WR (ran a 4.48, great workout) That leaves 1 player unaccounted for before we draft. Sofor us Saints addicts, that leaves… Dunta Robinson, Jonathan Vilma, and DJ Willliams For all 3 of these to be gone, two of the above players would have to slip. Also, there are always surprises, and these guys are moving up everyone’s boards… Shawn Andrews – LT (Impressive workout last week) Randy Starks – DT (D-linemen always move up on draft day) Antwan Odom – DE (D-linemen always move up on draft day) I think we will have our choice of CB-Robinson ILB – Vilma (recent reports say he’d be great at WLB too) OLB – DJ Williams I’d be happy with any of these three, wouldn’t you? We stay put at 18 |

Dunta,Vilma,DJ...Process of Elimination
I expect Houston to take Hall and the Jets to take Robinson. I also expect Tampa to take DJ Williams. But I think Vilma is our target now and you know once our staff gets a target in the draft, they don\'t let him get away...even if it means trading up higher than they need.

What makes you say that? He\'s certainly been your target since your first day on this board, but I don\'t know if I would say he is our target.
Danno, I hope you\'re right, but I COULD see Rivers and Reggie Williams slipping past us. I want a top-tier defensive guy as bad as the rest of us, I\'m just trying to say, don\'t be surprised by anything draft day... ESPECIALLY when it\'s the Saints we\'re talking about. |

Yeah, the Saints are only eclipsed by the Bengals for strange draft day picks.
