Well Roger, you're the idiot that blew this entire event way way out of proportion.

Not look at the crap you stirred up.

I was just waiting for this shoe to drop. If they felt the strange need to jump in on the steroids issue, no way were they going to pass this up.

I think the first person they should call to testify is whoever the snitch is.

Baseball tried to make their steroid problem seem like it was isolated to a few players. Congress got involved and it blew up in their faces when players faced contempt of congress charges if they lied.

Now we may see just how much King Roger "investigated" the other teams.

It may be that none were dumb enough to leave the trail that the Saints did, but I seriously doubt it.

It's gonna be a spectacle!

Sounds to me like a disgruntled Bears fan whose constituents are unhappy about what we did to Cutler in week 2 last year.

I don't see this effecting the Saints one bit. I see this as setting a law against this for in the future.

What I've been wondering is this: If I'm right, and the motivation for this whole thing is nothing more than advance posturing for the court cases looming in the NFL's future over the mishandling of player health, then Karma is soon going to take a big bite out of the league's ass.

Look, players will tell you they are encouraged to play when they're injured. They are injected with Heaven know's what to allow them to play. They've been sent back out on to the field with known symptoms of head trauma, and they have been told in as many words that their job is at stake if they fail to suck it up and play.

I'm not making any of that up, and it's been going on - if we can believe Fujita's wife at least - until very recently. It's no secret. The NFL and Roger Goodell would have to be deaf, dumb, and blind to even begin to assert they knew nothing about all that stuff. C'mon...

The league built its reputation and has made billions and BILLIONS of dollars on the 'gladiator' mentality it is so desperately trying to shun. I can't help but think these player's have decent cases and the NFL is soon going to have to take a great big bite out of this chit sandwich that IT created.

And that's pleasing to me. I've already accepted the fact that the NFL that I've come to know is over. I've come to terms with the fact that the National Football League will soon be the National Arena Football League. I'm over that, so I'm excited about the possibility that for all the hell the NFL has heaped on the Saints, karma is a bi*ch, and it's soon going to be time to pay up.
