RUMOR - Carmichael new HC for 2012

Chill out, quit jumping the gun, they are not going to announce anything official for a while yet.

Payton may still appeal to have his suspension lowered, which may change things. Even the act of formally appealing his suspension would likely delay it from officially starting -- I expect that if SP appeals, he will let some time pass first, get his case together, and then appeal it at the eleventh hour, a few days before it officially starts, in order to delay it actually going into effect. At least that's how it works with players and other forms of arbitration - after a decision comes down, you have a set period in which to appeal, once you file an appeal the clock stops or resets while the appeal process works out, etc. They are not going to announce anything anytime soon.

Nobody is dogging you, we're looking for a link.

I'm glad you caught the rumor part. I just -assumed- which I usually don't do, since it was said "per @AdamSchefter" that it was legit instead of confirming.

I just slipped up. Also, Duncan went on (Sportscenter I think?) yesterday saying that team sources were saying that Carmichael was expected to be the fill-in. So since this was said to be via Schefty the next day - It seemed fitting.

Anyways, trying to get any type of word from the Times-Picayune at the moment. I'll let you know what I hear.

Also, the dogging part was in reference to the "chill out, quit jumping the gun" remark.

I don't know. I guess I just imagine the head coach as someone who is feared by the players, not someone you'd walk up to and give a wedgie.
