I vote for Pete.
This will be great experience for him and I think he's a prime candidate to replace Sean when he decides to retire, IF Pete lasts that long before being offered a HC job. The only thing that bothers me about Pete is he's known for being an X's and O's guy with a very mild mannered temperment. Other than Tony Dungy, I can't think of many mild-mannered HC's that have succeeded. I vote Spags 2nd. Also a prime candidate to replace Sean. He'll learn a lot about what he did wrong in St Louis working for Payton and Loomis. I'd also be OK with Kromer as well, for the same reasons as Pete. |
