It\'s simple BPA. However, we should take Joey Thomas or Keith Smith with that pick because if I remember right, that mock doesn\'t have us taking a CB on the first day. I would like to get Jake Grove, if we get Vilma & a CB with the first two picks...simply because Guards are worth more than Centers and Bentley has been one of the best Guards in the league for the past two years, why mess with it? Plus Grove is potentially a first round center, rated as good as Jeff Faine last year. We could have the nastiest o-line in the league with Bentley, Grove & Jacox in the middle and we would still have Holland, Folau & Nesbit as backups so there wouldn\'t be much of a drop-off if anyone went down.

bentley was a center in college and probably, although he did very good at guard, would be best suited back at center. holland was impressive enough in my opinion (not worth much) and i feel confident about him taking over LG and switching a solid jacox to RG.

both thomas and smith are solid corners and i would be glad to have in black and gold next year, especially if we go LB (Vilma OR Williams) in the 1st.

if we didn\'t have more pressing needs right now, grove would be a great addition to an already cocky group that we have now. but IMO, WR needs to be addressed in the draft or by trade, and i don\'t think the latter will happen

Colbert in the 3rd would be the best time to take a WR.

i totally agree... he lit up michigan in the rose bowl and some scouts say that he reminds them of keenan mccardell... not to shabby b/c IMO mccardell is one of the best 2nd receivers in the league. i think that colbert has that same capability, if in the right system at the right position.
