Well it's interesting because the new wrinkle that has entered into all this outrage over Gregg Williams and the bountygate is that, we are now talking merely about speech, and yes it's taken out of context, and yes it is also pretty much over the line, but in Gregg Williams' case it becomes a matter of what you CAN say and what you CAN'T say, regardless of what happens on the field or whether the players actually follow the instructions or not. What CAN you say, and what are you not allowed to say -- this has never really been addressed by the NFL, but clearly at this point it is distaste for the speech itself that is bothering people, more than the actual facts or proof of any bounties, or the innocence or guilt of the parties involved.
